Question: Where did you get the name Dr Biohacker?

Keywords: ,

  1. Hey, that’s a good question :)) I enjoy hacking biological systems to understand how they work, not hacking in the sense of infiltrating protected information or steal something but hacking in the sense of taking things apart and putting them back together or rebuilding them.
To give an example, you can take apart a wrist watch in order to understand a watch and that gives you some sort of understanding. But then if you take the pieces of watch as they’re scattered around and attempt to put them back together, you might have a couple pieces left over then you’ll have an “A-ha!” moment: the watch might work or it may not. So it is the same thing with biology, I can take natural biological systems, pull them apart, study their individual components (hacking them) then attempt to put them back together to understand how they work. That’s where my nickname comes from :))
