I love doing inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry or ICPMS. I use this to determine what metals are present, and it is pretty cool because it require plasma heated up to 1000C!
I like fluorescence microscope work! The colours glow and are so pretty! I grow cells on a microscope slide, then stain different proteins i’m interested in, in different colours. I can only look at one colour at a time under the microscope but I take images and put them together so I can see all the colours at once. I usually use red, blue and green, but you can biy all sorts of colours. It’s very pretty!
I like using my hand-held gene gun to shoot healthy genes into diseased cells to replace dysfunctional genes. It is just awesome, you have to see me in action. Shooting to heal, not to kill!
