Question: how big are the bugs?? And are they actually bugs?

Keywords: , , ,

  1. Do you know, I don’t know why we call bacteria bugs? It’s been happening so long, I guess no one thinks about it, but they are not insects.

as for their size, this will depend on the type of bacteria. They can be shaped like a rod, or round. E.Coli for example is rod shaped and is 2 micrometres wide and 5 micrometres long. that’s 0.002mm x 0.005mm. Pretty small huh? You can’t see them with the naked eye, but if they are gorwing on a plate, once there are enough on top of each other (about a million) you can see them, otherwise you meed a microscope to see them
