hi disease357. I did a biomedical science degree which took three years. then i did honours which is a full year research project. Then i had a year off where i worked in the lab part time and finished my last year of my diploma of languages in french (takes 3 years too) and did some music subjects for fun. Then i did a PhD. that took me 3 years, which is how quickly you are expected to finish it, but the average time to finish is more like 4-5 years. some people take much longer.

so in actual time studying science 7 years.
