You can’t live without DNA! It is the the blueprint which makes you, you! Even once we finishing growing our DNA has the instructions for proteins we need in metabolism and to function.

Life as we know it wouldn’t be possible without the DNA which often regarded as the “blueprint of Life”. Having said that virus is a very interesting organism which is “alive” with a single stranded DNA (everything else has double-stranded DNA). More interestingly, scientists made a ground-breaking discovery when they find a bacteria which lives in arsenic-filled waters. When they study the biochemistry of this bacteria, they found that bacteria is able to replace phosphorus (important part of DNA) with arsenic (which is very toxic for us). So life in other forms might be possible without the DNA.
