There is no one ‘age’ for people to develop cancer. People of all different ages can get cancer because there are so many different types of cancer.
Children can be more likely to get different types of cancers than adults. However, a cancer like multiple myeloma is more common in old people (above the age of 65).
People can get cancer if they smoke and drink a lot or if they come into contact with very toxic substances (like radiation).
People can also be more likely to get certain types of cancer if there has been a family history (if people in the family have had that type of cancer before).
And sometimes people can just randomly get cancer, which is just bad luck unfortunately.
