Question: what is a goal in your area of science that you hope to achieve

    It may be a long shot, but being able to design a cheap drug which can be used to treat many bacterial infections would be the best outcome of my research. But if my work helps someone else come up with a new drug that’d be pretty cool too

    I hope that during my career there are enough new treatments for cancer so if you get the unfortunate news you have cancer, the nest treatment will be ‘which treatment?’ not ‘is there a treatment?’ If I can be part of making that happen I will be really happy!
